December 9th 2015 iSquare Mall + Hotel
Abdul Mathin of The BlackMINE Group, who recently received approval of his redesigned iSquare Project with its two major 5-star hotels and its Lifestyle Mall containing over 350,000 square feet has also recently reached another major milestone, the approval by the City Council for the included Helipad at an elevation of 400 feet. The iSquare Mall will be a World-Class Mall, targeting discerning shoppers from all over the world. The BlackMINE Group has recently signed an agreement with Retail Street Advisors of Dallas, Texas to provide marketing and leasing expertise for the iSquare Mall to identify and capture major luxury retailers from all around the world. The retail space as currently designed includes approximately 350,000 square feet of leasable space on multiple levels in the Mall, with concourses that will connect all portions of the retail-parking garage. The iSquare Mall will have a major street level presence along both International Drive and Kirkman Road. The grand opening of the retail complex is expected in 2022.
Retail Street Advisors has leased various developments all across America to high-end luxury retailers. CEO and Chairman of The BlackMINE Group Abdul Mathin said “Retail Street Advisors will quickly lease the iSquare Lifestyle Mall as the Hotel Operator Capella Hotel Group will target very wealthy customers for the seven star amenities along with retail to compliment the guest experience.
“Retail Street Advisors are excited to start work to make this world-class shopping venue that is a testament to tourism of Orlando,” said Mathin.
Preliminary subsurface testing has been undertaken by Terracon Consultants, Inc. and the iSquare Project is expected to break ground in the spring of 2019 and schedule to open for business in early 2022.
July 27th 2015 iSquare Mall + Hotel
Another major milestone has been reached by Abdul Mathin of The BlackMINE Group, who has rejuvenated the design of iSquare Mall + Hotel with high end appeal for the hotel operator, The Capella Hotel Group. The new design has explored a whole new dimension of Mathin’s vision to further enhance the project, which received master plan approval from the Orlando City Council on August 11, 2014. The new hotel design will feature two hotels managed by the Capella Hotel Group. The Solis Orlando Hotel will offer 500 luxurious guest rooms and the Capella Orlando Hotel will offer 100 ultra-luxurious guest rooms. Additionally, The new Mall design will contain approximately 380,000 square feet in accordance with the prior approval granted by the City of Orlando. Based on preliminary estimates, Mathin has indicated that total cost of the project will approach $400 million. While the project has experienced some design delays, the opening of the Hotel and Mall is still anticipated for the late fall of 2021 or early 2022.
The architectural firm of HKS, with substantial input from Mathin and the Capella Hotel Group, has created what will be the signature project for The BlackMINE Group. “ The amenities of the entire complex that have been created during the very collaborative design phase, will make the iSquare crown shine.” Explained , Mathin. The entire iSquare team, along with the Capella Hotel Group, are extremely pleased with the outcome of the design. The architects from HKS have incorporated the innovative vision of Mathin to complete the design of this building.
These new designs have been submitted to city planners for approval which will allow HKS to continue producing the schematic designs and keep with the original project schedule.

ORLANDO CITY COUNCIL VOTES UNANIMOUSLY TO APPROVE PLANS FOR ISQUARE MALL + HOTEL ON I- DRIVE. VEGAS STYLE ENTERTAINMENT AND LUXURY HOTEL COMING TO ORLANDO, FL.
The Orlando City Council voted unanimously today to approve plans submitted by The BlackMINE Group to build the iSquare Mall + Hotel, a mega mall and a 7 star hotel at 5600 International Drive, at the intersection of International Drive at Kirkman Road, Orlando, Florida in the heart of the tourism corridor.
Developer Abdul Mathin was excited to gain today’s approval and took it as a challenge to create a great destination for the tourism. Mathin also stated “there has never been a project like this built before! Not only will we create thousands of jobs for Orlando….but we are making this a totally green building with a greater focus on innovative technologies.” iSquare will be the very first 7 star hotel in North America and feature 27 stories, 750 hotel rooms, 29 luxury suites, various upscale restaurants, boutiques and shopping as well as multiple pools, observation decks , a state of the art live performance theater, an indoor ice skating rink, a helipad and a revolving restaurant. Mathin personally selected a highly talented team for the build including:
Cannon Designs for Structural engineering, mechanicals, electrical and plumbing. The HBA group will lead the interiors of the Building, Balfour Beatty will be the General Contractor for the Project, Ray Scott of Scott Architects & Interior Design will remain a chief architect, Rick Magley of Magley Design will focus on landscaping and Terracon will be the projects’ Geo Engineer.
The iSquare Mall + Hotel is scheduled to open summer of 2022.
